We are looking for a Medior Manual Tester. In this role, you will contribute to the quality assurance of a large-scale enterprise application used across the German energy sector. You’ll work within an agile environment focused on ensuring reliability, usability, and efficiency of a digital platform that connects network operators, partner companies, and public authorities.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Create and adapt test cases for user story acceptance and regression testing.
  • Perform functional and exploratory testing for modern web applications.
  • Document and manage test results in Jira and Zephyr.
  • Record, evaluate, and track defects through established QA workflows.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of test data.
  • Collaborate with the test automation team to align on testing coverage and priorities.
  • Work closely with developers and product owners to ensure release readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

 

What do we expect?

  • Proven experience in manual testing of enterprise web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Zephyr or Xray for Jira.
  • Solid understanding of agile development and testing methodologies.
  • Strong skills in documenting, analyzing, and tracking defects.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basis.
  • Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) communication skills.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and quality-driven mindset with strong teamwork skills.
  • nice to have:
    • ISTQB certification
    • Experience with SAP systems
    • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
    • Basic understanding of test automation and tools like Tosca
    • Knowledge of the energy industry or public sector projects
