HR Generalist with German (m/f/d)

About

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a broad range of HR activities, with a particular focus on employee development, day-to-day HR operations and recruitment. You will work closely with employees and managers, help improve HR processes and provide insights that support people-related decisions.

 

Your responsibilities

  • act as a trusted HR contact for employees and managers, providing support across the full employee lifecycle – from onboarding and employee development to offboarding
  • coordinate learning and development activities, identify training needs together with managers, organize internal and external trainings and support individual development plans
  • support recruitment activities when needed, including preparation of job descriptions, candidate sourcing and screening, interviews and communication with hiring managers
  • manage day-to-day HR administration, including employment documentation, employee records and HR system data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance
  • ensure HR documentation, processes and internal policies are aligned with Slovak labour legislation and company requirements
  • prepare and analyse HR reports and key people metrics, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, absence and learning & development data, and turn insights into practical recommendations
  • coordinate the performance management process and support managers with performance reviews, employee feedback and development planning
  • support employee relations and engagement, address day-to-day HR topics and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment
  • provide accurate employee data and HR inputs for payroll processing and cooperate with Finance and external payroll providers
  • actively contribute to HR projects, process improvements, standardisation and automation, helping us make HR processes more efficient and employee-friendly

 

What do we expect?

  • previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a similarly broad HR role
  • good knowledge of Slovak labour legislation and its practical application in day-to-day HR activities
  • hands-on experience with learning and development, including coordination of trainings and development initiatives
  • practical experience in recruitment, candidate screening and cooperation with hiring managers
  • ability to work with HR data and reporting and translate findings into clear and useful insights
  • confident use of Excel, Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • strong communication skills combined with a hands-on and proactive approach
  • ability to manage several priorities independently and work in a structured way
  • high level of accuracy, discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • fluent Slovak and English
    • nice to have:
      • knowledge of German is a strong advantage
      • experience from an international environment, ideally within IT, technology or professional services
      • experience with HR process improvement, automation or digital HR tools
      • university degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
